Three generations on the Hamakua coast
Established in 1960 on the Hamakua coast of Hawaii Island, Carmela Orchids has grown cattleya, dendrobium, phalaenopsis, oncidium and vanda for retail and wholesale customers worldwide — offered from flasks to mature blooming plants. We're known for high standards of quality and satisfied customers.
What makes this nursery ours is the family. Our monthly specials are named after — and hand-packed by — the kids: Avery, Zachary and Madison. When you order an "Avery's Summer Fun" or a "Madison's" box, that's exactly who is filling it on the bench in Hakalau.
What we grow
Cattleya, dendrobium, phalaenopsis, oncidium and vanda — plus mericlones, plug trays, flasks and compots — from flask to bloom.

P.O. Box 277, Hakalau, HI 96710. Between the 16 & 17 mile markers on Highway 19 at Umauma — turn mauka on Kauniho Street.
